Corbin & King rebrands to The Wolseley Hospitality Group
Meanwhile, the company’s owner is focusing on the development of its current UK leases, and is looking at selective sites globally to plan a strategic expansion
Minor International Public Company Limited (MINT) has officially changed Corbin and King’s company name to The Wolseley Hospitality Group.
The Wolseley is the founding restaurant within the portfolio dating back to 2003. The new name was reportedly chosen to encompass the company’s values – with “hospitality from the heart” and “good food” at the centre of the principles/
MINT acquired a 100% stake in Corbin and King in April this year, having held a 74% share since 2017. MINT said it is committed to “upholding and continuing the legacy” of all the restaurants within the Corbin and King portfolio.
Meanwhile, MINT is focusing on the development of its current UK leases, including a new Wolseley site in London city, and a Soho site, and the business is looking at selective sites globally to plan a strategic expansion.
The Wolseley Hospitality Group’s current portfolio includes The Wolseley, The Delaunay, Brasserie Zédel, Colbert, Fischer’s, Bellanger and Soutine, as well as Café Wolseley at Bicester Village.
William E Heinecke, chairman and founder of Minor International, said: “We have the utmost respect for The Wolseley Hospitality Group team who have created The Wolseley and all the other fine restaurants in the portfolio over the last 19 years.
“We look forward to expanding the restaurants not only in the UK, but globally with the support of Minor’s international footprint and team while ensuring the continued success of The Wolseley Hospitality Group.”
