D&D London launches catered event space at Tower Bridge
The new venue marks D&D’s first dedicated events location in the UK, catering for events ranging from intimate dinners for 30 guests to larger parties for 150 guests or more
D&D London has announced the launch of Blueprint Event Space, a permanent venue for D&D’s outside event’s arm – Alexander and Björck (A&B).
Located at Tower Bridge, the site was originally used for the company’s Blueprint Café which was launched as a restaurant in the Design Museum when the museum opened in 1989.
The space has now relaunched as the Blueprint Event Space for A&B, a company which the group co-founded with Lena Björck in 2015.
The new Blueprint site is able to cater for events ranging from intimate dinners for 30 guests to larger parties for 150 guests or more.
Under Björck’s leadership, the A&B arm has expanded “significantly” since 2015 and now caters high profile events both in the UK and overseas. Its regular clients include Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs and luxury brands Jaeger-LeCoultre and Lanvin.
Björck said: “It’s a massive milestone for A&B to operate our very own venue, particularly in such an iconic space with its history of creativity and design …a perfect site for showcasing A&B’s gastronomic flair.”
Des Gunewardena, chairman and CEO of D&D London, added: “We are delighted to announce a permanent space for Alexander & Björck.
“We have operated Guastavino’s, a very successful catered events venue in New York for many years and of course a number of our restaurants operate events spaces. But Blueprint will be our first dedicated events location in the UK.”
