Bord Bia appoints new CEO

Jim O’Toole will take up his role from 1 November when Michael Murphy will return to his position as director of organisation and industry talent

The Irish food board, Bord Bia, has announced the appointment of Jim O’Toole as its new CEO, effective from 1 November, when Michael Murphy will return to his position as director of organisation and industry talent. 

It is reported that O’Toole is the current CEO of Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), Ireland’s seafood development agency. He is also said to be highly experienced in global food marketing, sustainability development and change leadership.

“I have been most fortunate to have previously spent over twenty years in Bord Bia and more recently have had the privilege of being the CEO of Bord Iascaigh Mhara for over five years.” 

He added: “I sincerely wish my BIM colleagues the best for the future and look forward to continuing the close collaboration between the two agencies.”
