Hospitality business Hostmore has announced the appointment of its CEO Robert B Cook to the role of non-executive director of Occupyd as of this month, following approval from the company board.
Occupyd Limited, which trades as Obvlo, is a new hospitality infotech company which reportedly aggregates places to go and things to do for hotels and other hospitality companies, allowing their guests to “live like a local”.
It is reported that Obvlo’s innovation is in the automated curation and maintenance of content and dynamic personalisation, ensuring that travellers see relevant, useful and accurate information.
Hostmore plc is a UK hospitality business which runs the American-themed casual bar and dining brand, Fridays (formerly TGI Fridays), the cocktail-led bar and restaurant brand, 63rd+1st, and the fast-casual dining brand, Fridays and Go.
The company currently operates 90 sites within the UK, the majority of which are reportedly located in high footfall locations, including retail parks, shopping centres and city centres.
Cook said: “I am delighted to be joining the board of Occupyd Limited, which, through Obvlo, is seeking to provide a richer experience for customers across the hospitality industry, an endeavour which closely aligns with Hostmore’s own digital transformation journey and wider strategy.”
