Bright and P.Franco to close both its sides

The two Hackney restaurants, as well as wine shop Noble Fine Liquor, have announced the abrupt decision on Instagram

The group behind two Hackney restaurants, Bright and P. Franco, has recently announced the closure of both sites.

The owners also announced the closure of Noble Fine Liquor, their wine shop in Broadway market.

In an Instagram announcement, they said: “Our time in the sun has come to an abrupt and sudden end, we have closed the doors at Noble Fine Liquor, P.Franco and Bright for the final time and they will not be re-opening.”

The owners went on to say that social media would not be the right platform to explain the “ins and outs” of the decision to close down and that they wanted to focus instead on thanking the staff and customers for the support the venues received throughout the years.

The group continued: “First and foremost, our past and present staff are a truly generous and talented group of people. In every iteration of every venue we have helmed, they’ve given their all and we would never have achieved what we have without them.

“Secondly, the support we’ve been shown from the food and wine community of London, the greater UK and far beyond is something we could never have predicted and still can’t quite believe was gifted to us.”

They also added: “To our guests and customers, we extend our thanks and love. London is a big city, with many thousands of restaurants and shops—every visit you made to us was appreciated and never taken for granted. We’ll cherish every memory that we’ve shared with you.”

The abrupt news comes after the owners had already shut down another restaurant, Peg, during the summer, due to “strains on staffing”.
