Pizza Pilgrims opens new site in Queen’s Park London
Guest pizzas will also be introduced every month
Pizza Pilgrims has announced the launch of its latest pizzeria in London’s Queen’s Park 3 July.
Alongside the pizzeria, Pizza Pilgrims will be opening a brand-new deli concept selling Italian produce and dry store goods.
The Queen’s Park site will serve from freshly roasted Neapolitan espressos and bread baked in-store by expert pizzaioli in the mornings to child-friendly dining options and late evening aperitivo.
Ahead of its opening, Pizza Pilgrims will be handing out 1000 free slices on 1 July.
The new site features a purpose-built Pavesi pizza oven at its centre next to an open-plan kitchen, which allows guests to watch the pizzaioli at work.
The 50-cover space is designed as a traditional trattoria, decorated with solely reclaimed furniture.
The new site will also include a dedicated deli and a dough window where passers-by can watch the kneading, shaping and finishing of their pizza.
As with all Pizza Pilgrims’ sites, the new restaurant will also offer its authentic, slow-proved Neapolitan pizzas which stem from the recipe created by founders James and Thom Elliot.
Additionally, the menu features classics like the Margherita – Mozzarella fior di latte, tomato, basil and olive oil and Salsiccia e Friarielli – Roasted Italian sausage and wild broccoletti on an olive oil base with smoked mozzarella and fresh chilli.
It also includes pizzas with a twist such as their Double Pepperoni and Spicy Honey, Mushroom and Truffle or 8-cheese.
Guest pizzas will also be introduced every month.
A gluten free dough is available with all pizzas and fresh dough is available to buy for use in at-home pizza ovens.
James Elliot said: “We are so excited to be opening on potentially our new favourite street in London, Lonsdale Rd, Queen’s Park. The new restaurant is a beautiful building and we’ve already found the area to be the kind of place where neighbours unthinkingly introduce themselves and welcome you.
“As always, we look forward to firing up the oven and serving some Neapolitan pizza to the good people of Queen’s Park. We will also be introducing a new “deli” concept where people can purchase amazing Italian ingredients to take away.”
