14 free of tie public house investments brought to market

The pubs, scattered across England, are occupied by a range of quality individual and corporate occupiers

Savills, on behalf of a private client, has launched the sale of 14 freehold public houses across the UK.

The properties are located throughout England across popular locations such as London, Bristol, York, Sheffield and Tunbridge Wells and are being offered for sale individually or in small packages.

The pubs are occupied by a range of quality individual and corporate occupiers in attractive buildings that are in good condition. Many of the properties have external trading areas and car parks.

The properties have an average unexpired lease term of 11.25 years and average rent of £57,072 per annum. Many of the leases are subject to five yearly open market rent reviews as well as annual uncapped RPI increases. The occupational businesses are unaffected by any sale.

The 14 properties include Boars Head in Crowborough, Chequers in Loose, Crown in Kingsclere, Draughts in Eltham, Great Gatsby in Sheffield, Horns in Datchworth, London Trader in Hastings, New Inn in Clitheroe, Olivo’s in Newport, Ship Inn in Burcombe, Spice Merchant in Malmesbury, Theobalds Arms in Grays, Horns & Horseshoes in Harlow and Royal Oak Hotel in Neston.

Stuart Stares, director in the licensed leisure team at Savills, said: “On the back of a successful launch of 16 properties for our client earlier this year we are delighted to be bringing a further 14 pubs to the market which are located throughout England and let to good quality independent tenants.”
