Nest restaurant relocates to Shoreditch

The new location will be able to accommodate 24 people, will have a bar nestled in the bend of the room as well as an open kitchen

Hackney-based Nest restaurant is set to open in a bigger location in Shoreditch in October.

Managed by the team behind Michelin-starred Restaurant St. Barts, Nest has become a much-loved restaurant with an approachable-priced tasting menu.

Taking over a double-fronted Victorian building by Shoreditch Town Hall, the new location will accommodate more guests to sample executive chef Johnnie Crowe’s menus, using the best of British seasonal produce from small-scale farmers and trusted suppliers.

The main restaurant space will have Victorian-inspired floor tiling and industrial elements throughout the room. It will accommodate 24 people, will have a bar nestled in the bend of the room as well as an open kitchen.

The new space will also allow for weekday lunch dining for the first time since Nest firstly opened.

Luke Wasserman, co-founder, said: “We’ve loved every minute of our time on Morning Lane, but it’s time for us to move into a space that allows us to continue to push boundaries and improve the experience for our amazing guests and hard-working team.

“It has been an incredible year for us – thanks to the team’s hard work we were awarded a Michelin star at Restaurant St. Barts less than six months after opening. Now, we are excited and focused on taking Nest (our original restaurant and concept) to the next level.”
