The former COO of Greene King, Richard Lewis, is set to become the new CEO of RedCat Pub Company, succeeding Phil Birbeck starting from 2 October. Lewis, with extensive experience in the retail and pub sectors, joined Greene King in 2011 and became COO in 2017. Prior to that, he served as SSP’s CEO of UK&I. Rooney Anand, the executive chairman of RedCat, expressed confidence in Lewis’ leadership and growth potential for the company.

Debbie Husband joins the Big Table Group as the managing director for the leisure division. Husband, formerly the MD of Rank Group PLC, will assume her new role in October. Her previous experience includes 15 years at Travelodge in various senior operational positions. Additionally, James Pidduck will serve as the finance director for the leisure division, while retaining his current role for Bella Italia. Alan Morgan, CEO of Big Table Group, expressed excitement about Debbie Husband’s addition to the team.

Breddos Tacos is opening its second taqueria in London above Mezcal Bar, Doña, in Stoke Newington on 4 October. Inspired by the food culture of Tijuana and Baja California, the 36-seat taqueria will offer Mexican street food, tequila and mezcal cocktails. Eeetwell, an international fast-casual restaurant, has opened its first UK location on Portobello Road in London. The 20-seater venue offers a menu of salads, warm bowls, wraps, juices, and smoothies. Eeetwell sources its ingredients locally from the family-run fruit and vegetable market, Devlin’s. Founded in Malta in 2015 by Ammar Soltan, Eeetwell aims to change the way people think about food. Soltan expressed pride in bringing the concept to London and creating job opportunities, while also hinting at further expansion across the UK.
