The Boswell Arms pub in Auchinleck, Cumnock has been brought to market with a guide price of £395,000.

The pub has built an outstanding reputation for its food and drink and has become a popular spot for locals, due to its position next to the busy Auchinleck Talbot football club.

The main bar area features bright and modern décor throughout, having been recently upgraded by the owners to include more spacious and comfortable seating areas.

The first-floor restaurant offers a cosier atmosphere and can cater to 40 customers.

The business also includes a three-bedroom owner’s house which is adjacent to the bar-restaurant.

The Boswell Arms has been owned and run by Robert and Heather Beatson for the last 23 years, who are now selling in order to retire.

They said: “We have owned the Boswell Arms for 23 successful years and feel now it’s the time to pass it onto another couple or family to keep it moving forward and carry on the community spirit of a local village pub /restaurant which we have built up over the years.

“We’ve had amazing support from locals and we hope the new owners take it on and have as many years of success as we have been fortunate to have.”

Tony Spence, associate director at Christie and Co who is handling the sale, added: “We are delighted to be acting on behalf of Robert and Heather with the sale of the Boswell Arms, the business trades very well and has the benefit of being located in the town centre as well as having owners accommodation.”
