Bavette to open in Leeds in February

The restaurant will source ingredients from small-time growers and sustainable suppliers

Neighbourhood bistro Bavette is set to open in Horsforth, Leeds in February next year.

Bavette is the first venture from ex-Culpeper Group MD and head chef Sandy Jarvis and his husband, restaurant manager and sommelier Clément Cousin, formerly of Brawn and The Buxton.

The seasonally led bistro menu will feature classically-inspired dishes such as Pork Belly Rillons, Frisée Salad and Ravigote Sauce.

The destination wine list will feature wines from Cousin ’s family’s vineyard, as well as other low intervention bottles from across Europe.

Bavette will be a “true representation” of Jarvis and Cousin’s professional journeys and personal experiences, paying homage to the pair’s favourite bistros.

The restaurant will source ingredients from small-time growers and sustainable suppliers.
