Today’s news in brief – 11/01/24

Arc Inspirations has reported record sales for December 2023, as like-for-like sales increased by 19.9% compared with the same period last year. The news comes as like-for-like sales at BOX rose by 30%, 24% at Manahatta and 10% at Banyan, while recent openings in Nottingham, Sheffield and Birmingham all significantly exceeded sales forecasts.

D&D London has reported double-digit revenue growth across its restaurants for December. This was achieved across a number of restaurants, including Skylon and Madison with a 13% growth, Butlers Wharf Chophouse increased by 18%, New Street Warehouse by 12% and German Gymnasium by 11%.

Shake Shack is set to reopen its venue in Leicester Square, following a refurbishment. The site closed its doors on 8 January and will reopen later in the month after the revamp. The company stated that the new venue will transform into a “bright, fresh contemporary space” for guests.

The Constitution pub in Camden is set to reopen its doors in February, following an extensive refurbishment. Located on St Pancras Way, the canal side pub has undergone a complete transformation, including the addition of a new rooftop terrace. The Constitution, acquired by Young’s & Co’s Brewery PLC in 2020, blends original features with “contemporary furnishings and pops of colour”.
