Today’s news in brief – 29/05/24

Revolution Bars has rejected Nightcap’s “highly conditional” non-binding proposal yesterday (28 May), which required Revolution to proceed with the restructuring plan but not the existing fundraising of £12.5m. Following legal advice, Revolution’s board also concluded that the Nightcap proposal was “incapable of being delivered”, as a number of challenges had surfaced. 

Admiral Taverns will acquire a portfolio of 27 freehold pubs from Fuller’s for £18.3m. The wet-led sites span London and the Home Counties, including Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. This acquisition aims to scale Admiral’s UK-wide estate to more than 1,420 pubs and strengthen its presence in the South East of England.

Wagamama is set to launch in India after agreeing a new partnership with Travel Food Services. This deal will see Wagamama open its first restaurant at Mumbai Airport’s International Terminal later this year. From there, the group aims to expand Wagamama’s presence across India, meeting the rising demand for “fresh” plant-based options.
