Today’s news in brief – 05/06/24

UKH has called for pragmatic migration plans that meet the needs of the hospitality industry, following Keir Starmer’s comment on Sunday (2 June) that “a future Labour government will bring down net migration”. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, if re-elected, the Conservative party would reduce the number of visas available to migrants each year. 

The Savoy will be closing bookings for the Thames Foyer ahead of a planned refurbishment from Thursday 22 August. The hotel will reopen a new food and beverage concept in November this year.
