The Hound coaching inn to open in Chiswick

Alongside this, in August, The Hound will open four boutique guest rooms situated above the pub

The Hound, a new modern-day coaching inn, will officially open its doors in Chiswick, London on Wednesday 17 July.

The third pub from Dominic Jacobs and JKS Restaurants comprises a pub floor, a reception room, two private dining rooms, a covered outdoor courtyard and a south-facing front terrace.

Housed in the walls of a historic Victorian police station, The Hound will hope to build on the success of its sibling pubs, The George and The Cadogan Arms.

The main private dining room seats up to 18 guests and features an exposed brick ceiling from three combined former prison cells.

Two wine cellars also housed in former cells sit alongside the room, with original jail bars and prison doors kept in place.

The outdoor courtyard is finished with a retractable glass roof so guests can enjoy the outside area all year round.

Alongside this, in August, The Hound will open four boutique guest rooms situated above the pub.

MD Dominic Jacobs said: “We are excited to be taking over this historic site in Chiswick, it has long been a cornerstone of the local community and we hope that it will continue to be one, offering a welcoming space for socialising whether for a drink, meal, special occasion or overnight stay.

“Both The Cadogan Arms and The George have embedded themselves in their respective local communities over the past three years and are thriving as a result. It is with the same ambition we hope to launch The Hound.”
