SSP Group will maintain its profit guidance for the year as Q3 sales rose 16%. Due to an increasing demand for leisure travel, the operator of F&B outlets in travel locations has also reported that the second half of 2024 started off well with a strong sales performance across all regions. At actual exchange rates, total SSP revenues rose by 15% year-on-year. 

Turkish restaurant Leydi will be opening in Farringdon this September. Inspired by Istanbul’s eating culture, the all-day 90-cover restaurant has been created in collaboration with chef Selin Kiazim and will offer breakfast options, lunch and cocktails. Leydi is Ennismore’s creation for soon-to-open Hyde London City, the first UK outpost of the Hyde hotel brand. 

Japanese restaurant Ukiyo will be opening at The Yards, Covent Garden. The temaki and sashimi concept will be located at 8 Slingsby Place, occupying 1,636 sq ft over two levels. Chef Konstantin Tskhay will head the restaurant, having 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and an expertise in Japanese products, produce, dishes and sauces.

The Hound will be officially opening in Chiswick on Wednesday 17 July. A modern-day coaching Inn, this venue will be the third pub from Dominic Jacobs and JKS Restaurants. It will comprise a pub floor, reception room, two private dining rooms, a covered outdoor courtyard and a south-facing front terrace.
