AngloThai restaurant to debut in London

Following on from a number of pop-ups and residencies, John and Desiree Chantarasak will be bringing their take on Thai-British cuisine with a EUropean focused wine list to Marylebone

Debut restaurant AngloThai, from husband and wife team John and Desiree Chantarasak, will open in Autumn in partnership with MJMK Restaurants.

Following on from a number of pop-ups and residencies, the pair will be bringing their take on Thai-British cuisine with a European focused wine list to their first bricks and mortar site on Seymour Place in Marylebone. 

Chef and co-founder Chatarasak will serve his personal interpretation of Thai cuisine, drawing inspiration from both his Thai and British heritage. Meanwhile wines will be selected by his wife’s passion for “excellent wine grower craftsmanship”.

Guests can expect a food offering that changes seasonally, with a la carte dishes designed to be shared as traditional in Thai eating culture. The menu will include “slow grown” British-reared meats, line caught seafood, caviar and oysters as well as seasonal vegetables, fruits and foraged foods.

The restaurant interiors have been designed with Thai-American designer May Redding and draw inspiration from Thailand’s contemporary design movement. 

There will be 50 covers in the main restaurant, and later in the year “Baan”, named after the Thai word for home, will also provide a private dining space.
