The Savoy Lounge will also have new menus that showcase “traditional recipes with a modern twist and the finest locally sourced ingredients”.

Design studio BradyWilliams has been appointed to lead the redesign of the space, and will focus on modernising while “remaining true to its heritage”.

While the atrium will remain an impressive ceiling feature, it will benefit from modernised lighting to “ensure the atmosphere of the room evolves throughout the day and into the night”.

In addition to Savoy Lounge, the hotel will open two further new outlets in November 2024. Booking for Savoy Lounge will open on Monday 2 September.

The Savoy’s florist team, led by Belinda Bowles, will open their own boutique – The Florist at The Savoy – from which to create seasonal bouquets for guests to purchase.

A new first for the hotel, Scoff – The Savoy’s scone shop – will open, featuring both traditional and new scone creations for guests to enjoy with a tea or coffee, or to take home.

The Savoy has also confirmed a refurbishment of rooms and suites as part of a continued commitment to invest in the property. This has commenced and is to be done in stages to have little to no impact to the operational running of the hotel.

The first new rooms and suites will be revealed in August 2025.
