Michael’s Coffee House to launch in Manchester Arndale

Founded in 2017 by Thanasis Michael, Michael’s Coffee House is an independent café based in Manchester’s Royal Exchange

Michael’s Coffee House has announced that it is set to open a new store in the Manchester Arndale.

The independent Manchester brand has revealed it has signed a 10-year lease to occupy a 544 sq ft space on Halle Place.

As well as serving a variety of hot beverages, Michael’s provides smoothies, milkshakes and juices.

Scott Linard, portfolio manager for M&G Real Estate, said: “Michael’s Coffee House adds to our diverse food and beverage mix at Manchester Arndale which offers a real variety of choice for our customers. It is also great to welcome another growing Manchester-based business to the centre as we continue our commitment of supporting local independent brands who are seeking to grow their presence in the city.”

Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, added: “Michael’s Coffee House is an exciting independent café which will provide our customers with a great choice of food and drink options. We are proud to have cultivated a fantastic tenant line-up, the success of which is why we continue to attract and establish relationships with new and exciting brands at Manchester Arndale.”

Michael’s arrival follows the news that Castore and BPerfect have signed leases at Manchester Arndale.

M&G Real Estate and Global Mutual act as joint asset managers of Manchester Arndale and New Cathedral Street.
