Pizza Hut’s biggest UK franchisee is close to finalising a rescue deal, according to Sky News. Directional Capital, which already controls a majority of Pizza Hut’s dine-in operations in Denmark and Sweden, would save the jobs of some 3,000 employees and acquire 140 sites across the UK. The deal could be officially struck as early as tomorrow (15 January). 

Comptoir Group has reported a 9.5% rise in revenues to £34.5m for FY24, as restaurant sales recorded a positive increase – with like-for-like sales in the second half rising 2.9% and 1.9% for the full year. The group also stated that it had its “most successful” Christmas trading period to date.

Tony Page’s Island Grill has officially relocated to a larger venue in Marylebone today (14 January) and rebranded to Tony Page Marylebone. The fine dining kosher restaurant used to be on Bayswater road at the Royal Lancaster. The new 3,460 sq ft venue is 20% larger and features 100 covers with private dining options.
