Australasia Manchester to undergo revamp this Spring

Australasia has announced that its restaurant in Manchester’s Spinningfields is set to undergo a revamp in April.
The venue’s new interior design will draw inspiration from the shoes of the Pacific and become “a natural, organic sanctuary”.
Alongside this, the restaurant will be incorporating a baby grand piano into its new design, which will be followed by live musicians and DJs.
Australasia’s bar is also being completely renovated into a stand alone destination once again. The reimagined space will be focussed on innovative mixology and offer a separate destination.
At the heart of this transformation is head chef Lucie Sainerova who was previously exec head chef at Novikov International and Raffles International.
Under her guidance, Australasia will introduce a menu that will focus on open-flame cooking and the best local produce and seasonal ingredients, designed for sharing.
Sainerova said: “Australasia has always been a special place and I’m excited to bring a fresh perspective to its next chapter. The new menu will celebrate the bold, vibrant flavours of the Pacific Rim, with a real focus on open-flame cooking.
“Guests can expect refined and creative plates, made for sharing and enjoy an atmosphere that’s as immersive as the food itself. We are preserving Australasia’s soul while giving it an entirely new body and spirit.”
Before closing for its refurbishment the restaurant is offering guests 50% off food on Sundays until 31 March.
