Holy Carrot to open second restaurant in Old Spitalfields Market

Holy Carrot prioritises working with small-scale producers, foragers and regenerative farmers to select the best organic and micro-seasonal produce for its menus

Holy Carrot has revealed that it has secured a second site located in the Old Spitalfields Market which is set to open in late 2025.

The new venture’s design will take cues from the vibrancy of East London and the rich history of Spitalfields.

The vegetable-forward concept created by Irina Linovich started as a successful pop-up in Knightsbridge in May 2021.

This was followed by the launch of a flagship restaurant in Notting Hill in July 2024, with chef owner Daniel Watkins at the helm. In 2025, the Portobello Road restaurant was added to
The Michelin Guide.

The second site marks a continued collaboration between the pair, who will once again be bringing root-to-tip dining and a low-waste approach to the new concept.

Linovich, founder, said: “I am thrilled to be bringing Holy Carrot to East London. I have always felt the energy and community there is aligned with our vision, bursting with creativity, culture and forward-thinkers. East London has always been about reinvention, and we’re excited to add our own chapter to the story.”

Linovich added that she was excited to be developing the brand for a new audience in East London.

Holy Carrot prioritises working with small-scale producers, foragers and regenerative farmers to select the best organic and micro-seasonal produce for its menus.

Watkins and Linovich are committed to minimising the restaurant’s environmental footprint, meaning vegetables are celebrated and utilised in interesting ways, whether that be fire cookery or fermentation.
