Butcombe sees LFL sales rise 31% on Mother’s Day

The pub operator’s performance on Mothering Sunday also broke its previous record set on Christmas Day last year

Butcombe Group has reported that this year’s Mother’s Day celebration (31 March) resulted in a 31% like-for-like sales increase compared with that of last year.

Butcombe’s ongoing development of its external areas was also credited with helping increase bar sales by 45% year-on-year on days of strong spring sunshine. 

About 11 sites are now part of the Butcombe Boutique Inns collection, which achieved “even greater” like-for-like sales growth of 37% compared with Mother’s Day 2024.
