Jason Atherton to open new Mayfair restaurant

Jason Atherton is to open a new 16-cover restaurant in London’s Mayfair, named H.O.M.E, the restaurant will open next door to Atherton’s current Pollen Street Social restaurant.

Atherton says he sees the new restaurant as a “purely creative outlet”, which will serve only a set menu. The chef described the new restaurant as his own version of the Japanese-based Araki which has been awarded three Michelin stars.

The chef has said that the new site will not open for Michelin stars, but says that he plans to make refurbishments to Pollen Street Social to add to its current one Michelin star.

Atherton has recently had to close two restaurants, his Japanese business Sosharu in Farringdon, and Temple and Sons in central London. H.O.M.E will become the chef’s 16th restaurant worldwide, and his eighth in London.
