Fritz Machala wins IoH Contract Catering Chef of the Year
Fritz Machala has been announced Contract Catering Chef of the Year, at the Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism.
In a competition made up of chefs from across the contract catering world, Machala was chosen for the gong by an independent panel. He has 25 years’ experience in the catering industry, working to Michelin Star and 3 AA Rosette standard before joining the team at Windsor Park in October 2016.
Machala is employed by Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events and is head chef at Windsor Park, which hosts the Northern Irish national football team along with other sporting events.
Stephen Frost, divisional executive chef at Sodexo, said: “We are delighted that chef Fritz Machala has been recognised as Contract Catering Chef of the Year by one of the most prestigious hospitality organisations in the country. It is a very well-deserved win for our talented and hardworking head chef.
