Bistro restaurant Josephine opens in London
The 76-cover debut location features a classic space, featuring antique mirrors, candelabra lighting and small bistro tables, reminiscent in character of the Lyonnaise restaurants
Josephine, a new French bistro concept by Michelin-starred Claude Bosi and Lucy Bosi, has officially opened at 315 Fulham Road in London.
The restaurant has opened a 2,633 sq ft space on the corner of Fulham Road, marking an addition to the Sloane Stanley Estate and complementing the wider F&B and retail offer.
The new concept transcends the traditional French ambience and pays homage to the Bosi family, offering classic dishes such as French onion soup, oeuf en gelée, salade Lyonnaise, and leek vinaigrette. A variety of wines will also be on offer, including Josephine’s very own label and a rotating monthly wine speciality.
The 76-cover debut location features a classic space, featuring antique mirrors, candelabra lighting and small bistro tables, reminiscent in character of the Lyonnaise restaurants and includes a semi-private dining area, seating up to 20 guests.
Four bar-top window seats are available at the front of the restaurant for those who would like to visit for a glass of wine and a snack.
Claude Bosi, founder of Josephine, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring a little piece of Lyon to Chelsea with the opening of Josephine. This restaurant is a very personal project for us, an ode to my grandmother and the traditional Bouchons of Lyon that have always held a special place in our hearts. With Josephine, we hope to create a welcoming space that we hope locals, Londoners, and friends from afar will want to keep coming back to.”
Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley, said: “Josephine is a fantastic addition to Fulham Road and highlights the neighbourhood’s appeal in attracting world-class chefs and entrepreneurs. Its contemporary and high-quality fit-out and menu mirrors the exceptional range of tenants we have across our portfolio on the Sloane Stanley Estate.”
