200 Degrees to open 19th location in Chester
The Chester branch will also house a new barista school, which will be giving customers tips and tricks from ‘the best in the business
The specialty coffee shop 200 Degrees will be opening its 19th location on the historic Bridge Street, Chester, on Saturday 27 May.
The unit, which will be housed in a Tudor building that has sat empty since 2019, has undergone a refurbishment to make the space “cool and cosy”.
Customers can expect “stunning” interiors, with proper wooden tables and a statement copper wall.
The coffee chain will also hire 13 team members or the branch.
In addition to the opening of the store, the Chester branch will also house a new barista school, which will be giving customers tips and tricks from “the best in the business”, with the head of coffee, Graham Hepfurn, giving taster sessions on milk texturing, latte art, and more.
The new Chester shop will be open from 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday, and from 9am to 6pm on Sundays.
Ruby Lyle, general manager of 200 Degrees Chester, said: “I started working for 200 Degrees at the Carrington Street shop in Nottingham eight years ago, and worked my way up to general manager there.
“Although I grew up in Nottingham, my family are all based in the Wirral, so it was personally very exciting for me when our CEO Rob Darby rang me to tell me they were opening a shop in Chester.”
She added: “Being offered the GM role here has allowed me to move closer to my family and keep working with the people I love at 200 Degrees, and I’m buzzing to be leading a great new team in this beautiful city.”
