The Cornish Bakery opens Truro branch
As the first Cornwall-based bakery for the company in a number of years, it has also amassed a net promoter score (NPS) of 71.1%
The Cornish Bakery has opened a large new bakery in the capital city of Cornwall, Truro, and has also announced that five other sites are in development in Canterbury, Salisbury, Harrogate, Norwich and Cheltenham.
Even before it opened, the Truro Cornish Bakery was reportedly driving significant attention and comment from the local community, surpassing all expectations in its first couple of months of trading.
As the first Cornwall-based bakery for the company in a number of years, it has also amassed a net promoter score (NPS) of 71.1%.
The Truro bakery sports lights from Falmouth-based Tom Raffield, Perranarworthal-based Studio Haran and West Cornwall-based Lin Lovekin. Tiles are handmade and painted by Decorum Studio in Wadebridge and artworks are by Ella Carty who has her studio at Krowji in Redruth.
The independent chain of bakeries also has further new sites to be announced in the near future.
In addition, several other bakeries in Gunwharf Quays, Gloucester Quays, Bath, York, Newquay and Clark’s Village in Street have been refurbished and reopened under the company’s rebranding.
The bakery company has also invested significantly with local artists with products from artisan makers and creators in the near vicinity, many of which are now being designed into the future locations.
Steve Grocutt, founder of the Cornish Bakery, said: “Truro has been incredible. We have found the right location in Cornwall’s capital city, however trading here has already far exceeded our wildest expectations. Alongside positive comments about the bakery’s look and feel, we’re gaining glowing five-star reviews and consistent NPS scores.
“We’re now well into the process for our upcoming openings in some of the UK’s most prominent market towns and cities including Canterbury, Salisbury, Harrogate, Norwich and Cheltenham.”
He added: “Bakery is most definitely the new coffee shop, and we’re continuing to bring our unique experience, and our top-flight customer service, to places and spaces all over the country.”
