Humdingers opens its fourth hospitality site in Islington
The business operates a ‘buy one, feed one’ mantra, meaning that every purchase made will go towards helping those in need
Humdingers Catering has launched its fourth hospitality site, Humdingers Rosebery, on Rosebery Avenue, opposite Exmouth Market, in the London Borough of Islington.
The Clerkenwell outpost is the second new opening of 2023 and joins a growing roster of Humdingers sites in Highbury, Hoxton and Hornsey.
The collection of hospitality sites originated from Humdingers Catering, the “luxury” event catering business working all over London for clients including Alexander McQueen, Amazon, Gucci and Burberry.
Founded by Robert Hunningher, the business provided thousands of free meals for the NHS during the pandemic as well as repurposed its facilities and staff to operate a food bank and soup kitchen, which is still in operation.
Following these efforts, the new location will also provide freshly produced soup to anyone in need.
Open from 7am – 7pm, seven days a week, Humdingers Rosebery will serve pastries, bread, cake, cookies and sandwiches, including its Katsu Chicken Sandwich and Salt Beef Bagel.
Coffee by Pact will also be available along with a range of soft drinks. The business operates a ‘buy one, feed one’ mantra, meaning that every purchase made will go towards helping those in need.
Commenting on the latest opening, Hunningher said: “Humdingers is my life, and with every new site we have an opportunity to help more people. Giving out free soup is not a gimmick. We don’t care if it’s people who are homeless or businessmen in tailored suits, we won’t judge. You can take as much hot soup as you need for your family.”
