The Queen on the lookout for new chef

Buckingham Palace is advertising for a new pastry chef as part of the Master of the Household’s department.

The perks of the job include living in the queen’s house along with 33 days of paid holiday, a workplace pension, and access to the palace’s employee recreational facilities. Those working at the palace also undertake many training and development tasks.

The new chef will eventually travel to and work at all royal residences across the country.

The successful applicant will work closely with the royal chef and head chef to develop new meals for the royal family, as well as helping with the recruitment of new team members.

Applications state that candidates must have experience at a senior level, with either a fine dining or five-star establishment. Applicants must have an extensive knowledge of classical cuisine and catering for people en masse.

Hopeful chefs can apply for the role up to 26 June 2018.
