Chopstix refurbishes Peterborough site as part of capex programme
Over the next year, 12 further sites are scheduled for redevelopment
Chopstix has renovated its Peterborough site as part of its seven-figure capex programme to supplement its expanding footprint.
Having reopened this month after a £100,000 refurbishment, the high street site on Long Causeway follows the redevelopment of several Chopstix equity stores in recent months including Oxford Street, Nottingham and Reading locations. Over the next year, 12 further sites are scheduled for redevelopment.
All stores now feature brand-new state of the art digital screens, and refreshed bold and bright signature interiors, such as the brand’s iconic ‘living wall’, natural wood finishes and its winking anime character.
Extended site redevelopment comes as the brand continues to deliver strong sales across its portfolio. The Chopstix Group consists of over 100 Chopstix sites, in addition to 10 sites operating as Yangtze, and 27 sites under the Chozen Noodle brand, which the group acquired earlier this year.
Established in Camden Market in 2002 by entrepreneurs Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik, Chopstix celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, and is currently undergoing a busy period of brand development and expansion, as Chopstix sets its sights on becoming the largest Asian QSR on the continent.
Rob Burns, Chopstix marketing director said: “It is clear there is significant momentum behind the Chopstix brand in terms of site openings, however, it is also vital to us that all of our existing stores receive the investment needed to fully represent our identity, and facilitate the strongest possible revenue growth at an individual site level.
“All new and newly refurbished stores feature state of the art digital screens and striking interiors, delivering such a strong brand proposition and one that has helped our awareness and recognition skyrocket over the past 18 months. We’re delighted to have upgraded our Peterborough store, and look forward to bringing these changes to further sites soon.”
