Belsfield launches new vegan, vegetarian, gluten and dairy-free menus

Four-star Laura Ashley hotel, The Belsfield, has launched four brand-new afternoon tea menus in order to appeal to a wide-range of diets.
As well as a traditional afternoon tea menu, The Belsfield’s two-AA Rosette chefs have created vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free afternoon tea menus.
Priced from £22.95 per person, afternoon tea at the hotel will be served with buttermilk plain, fruit, vegan or gluten-free scones with a choice of strawberry jam, clotted cream, and tofu or dairy-free spread.
New afternoon tea sweet dishes will include mini carrot muffin, rocky road, Roly’s vegan fudge, raspberry Eton mess and gluten-free brownies and gluten-free Victoria sponge.
Savoury options will include vegan sausage roll, smoked salmon and cream cheese, and soy tofu stick as well as a selection of sandwiches including hummus and red pepper, and avocado, gem and cucumber, available on gluten free bread.
Mario Malcharek, general manager at the hotel, said: “We are thrilled to be able to expand our afternoon tea offering with four new menus. We’ve seen a huge demand in requests for dishes to meet a variety of different dietary requirements, and our new menus enable us to meet those and ensure everyone is able to enjoy afternoon tea together.”
