Greggs partners ‘exclusively’ with Just Eat for nationwide delivery
Bakery chain Greggs has confirmed Just Eat as its exclusive delivery partner.
Following a successful trial in London, Newcastle and Glasgow, Greggs said it has opted to work “exclusively” with Just Eat to provide its “food-on-the-go favourites” directly to the customer’s door.
A further rollout will begin this week, adding Bristol and Birmingham to existing cities.
Following this, delivery will next launch in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham in spring, with a plan to achieve national coverage by the end of the year.
Andrew Kenny, Just Eat UK managing director, said: “We’re proud to be the only food delivery app that can bring you the likes of the Greggs Vegan Sausage Roll wherever you are.”
Roger Whiteside, Greggs CEO, added: “We know from the trials we have carried out, that our customers love the idea that they can get Greggs delivered directly to their door and we’re delighted to now be working with Just Eat to provide that service to our customers across the UK by the end of this year.”
Greggs first became available for delivery on Just Eat last year.
