Metropolis to open new site in Vauxhall
All vendors at Metropolis London will commit to recycling packaging and minimising food waste with the entire venue plastic-free

Metropolis London, a brand-new multi-faceted food and entertainment space, is set to open its doors in Vauxhall at Albert Embankment’s Railway Arches at the end of May.
The 8,000 sq ft venue across two arches features a line-up of 11 local street-food vendors alongside a standalone bar and live events space.
With space for 350 seated throughout indoor areas and an additional 150 outdoors in the expansive garden space, the interiors draw inspiration from the bustling streets of New York with urban artwork depicting street food scenes and imagery created for Metropolis London by graffiti artists.
Trading seven days a week, visitors will be able to experience a variety of cuisines including Birria Taco (Mexican), Chipsy (BBQ), Fresco Trattoria Pizzeria (Italian), Karapincha (Sri Lankan), Lorenzo Kusina (Filipino), O’Gosht (Turkish), alongside sushi from Asian Sekushi; sandwiches from Sexy Buns and Uzbekistan noodles and dumplings from Oshpaz. Additional offers come from The Ice Cream Union’s new concept Gelato Lab and plant-based milk teas and coffees from Nuttea.
Moreover, a 15-metre standalone bar dispenses a wide range of wines, craft beers by the bottle and on-tap alongside signature cocktails including 007 and The Metropolitana.
The entertainment arch features a central stage for live performance. A curated programme of inclusive events and entertainment will include live music, film, comedy, cabaret, LGTBQ+ friendly events and family-orientated performances. Eight 65” TV screens will broadcast major sporting events including The Euros, Wimbledon, cricket Internationals and Tests as well as major rugby fixtures.
Anna Yaqub, founder of Metropolis London, said: “Metropolis London is a melting pot of global cuisines, bringing the very best of London’s food, drink and entertainment scene together under one roof. We’re thrilled to be opening our doors this May and are confident the venue will attract diners and drinkers as well as those looking for great entertainment.”
