Shake Shack to open in Clapham

The menu at the new location will have all the usual Shake Shack products as well as some special edition features specific to that location

Shake Shack has announced that it plans to open a new site in Clapham, London.

The site in South London will be the New York based fast food joint’s 14th UK location.

The new location will be on Clapham High Street and will overlook Clapham Common, one of London’s oldest and largest green spaces.

In preparation for the opening, Shake Shack is collaborating with south London-based artist Michael Parkin on a unique illustration for the building’s exterior.

The artwork is inspired by the vibrant bustling streets and the peaceful Common. Parkin wanted to capture the sense of community and fun that Clapham exudes.

His work mixes drawing and hand-made textures, all combined digitally to create a small snapshot of the local area.

The menu at the new location will have all the usual Shake Shack products as well as some special edition features specific to that location.

The new location comes after the company posted strong full year financial results for 2022.

The company’s total revenue was up 17.4% to $238.5m (£197.6m) and its system wide sales rose 15.8% to $364.1m (£301.7m).
