UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year announces finalists

The Restaurant Competition has announced the finalists for UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year. The finalists will compete at the Skills for Chefs Conference on 4 July.

The finalists are:

Colette’s at The Grove Hotel
Kendal College
Fischer’s and Rowley’s
Loughborough College
North Warwickshire and Hinckley College

Competition director David McKown said: “After two highly contested semi-finals held at Leeds City College and Central Bedfordshire College, the judges were left with difficult decisions, but we have an exciting final in store.”

The teams will be cooking Latin American cuisine and the competition will be judged by Peruvian chef Robert Ortiz.

Andrew Bennet, chair of judges, added: “We had some exceptional dishes and great front of house service. The five teams selected are worthy of inclusion in the grand final of this prestigious competition.”
