Gordon Ramsay to expand London portfolio
Gordon Ramsay is expanding his presence in London with the opening of five separate restaurants across the capital, according to the Evening Standard.
The celebrity chef, who operates 35 worldwide restaurants, will be extending his Street Concept brand, with the latest Street Pizza concept launching on 4 December in Southwark.
The site is Ramsay’s third Street Pizza establishment, and is soon to be joined by a fourth at the Battersea Power Station development on 28 December.
Ramsay told the Evening Standard: “I have never been prouder of the hospitality industry than I am right now. The challenges we are facing are very real and yet we are united in keeping our kitchens open, our teams working, and our guests looked after.
“Despite these challenges I have to believe in supporting growth, to creating jobs and opportunities and more importantly, opening really great places for people to eat out and have fun.”
Also opening will be the chef’s first Street Burger concept, with a site at One New Change in St Pauls set to commence operations on 10 December.
Street Burger establishments on Charing Cross Road and Kensington High Street have also been scheduled.
