Junkyard Golf Club to open new Camden site in August

The new location is set to generate significant economic benefits for the local community, with the establishment creating 100 new jobs within hospitality

Junkyard Golf Club has announced details of its new opening in Camden, which will become the seventh venue in London for the brand.

With a significant investment of £2m, the new location marks a milestone in the group’s expansion plans. Situated at the former Shaka Zulu restaurant in the heart of Camden Market, the new venue boasts a massive 19,500 square feet, making it the largest Junkyard Golf Club venue to date.

The substantial refurbishment has transformed the space into a captivating and immersive environment, aligned with the brand’s golf theme.

Set to open in August, the Camden location will feature four 9-hole courses, each with its unique theme. The new venue will also offer a dedicated corporate space with a bar, ideal for businesses seeking Christmas parties or team-building activities.

The Camden venue will be the first one to open under the new rebrand that Junkyard Golf Club underwent last spring. The courses will have a new concrete and industrial vibe, introducing neon flecks and stencilled paint for graphics.

It will also be the first site to be built under Junkyard Golf Club’s commitment to being carbon neutral.

In addition, the new location is set to generate significant economic benefits for the local community, with the establishment creating 100 new jobs within hospitality.

Sam Jones, managing director, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our seventh venue for Junkyard Golf Club in the amazing location of Camden, right beside the iconic bridge in one of London’s cultural hotspots.

“We can’t wait to bring our brand of crazy gold to this culturally rich and diverse area of London, which sees over 100,000 visitors each weekend.”
