SSP Group saw FY24 revenues rise by 17% to £3.4bn, as operating profits jumped by 32% to £206m during the period. It comes as the group performed well in North America, the UK, and APAC and EEME, despite a “disappointing” run in Continental Europe. Thanks to strong revenue growth in the second half of FY24, the group expects this momentum to be sustained in the early weeks of the new financial year.
Marston’s revealed that its underlying PBT rose 64.5% to £42.1m for the year ended 28 September. Moreover, the company’s pub operating profit was up 17.9% to £147.2m compared with a figure of £124.8m in the same period last year. Alongside this, its revenues were up 3.0% to £898.6m, up from £872.3m in the previous year.
Indian restaurant operator, Tharavadu, will launch a new concept, Uyare, at Victoria Leeds. Blending the culinary heritage of South India and capturing the flavours of Kerala, Uyare is set to open in January 2025. Uyare will accommodate up to 150-180 guests and feature distinct areas including Bhoomi The Earth restaurant, and Agni The Fire bar.
