UKH has coordinated a letter with other industry groups warning against Xmas tube strikes, which could cost hospitality businesses up to 70% of daily sales. As a result of the negotiation, Transport for London has abandoned its proposed changes to pay structures meaning all RMT members will receive the same value in any pay award.

Starbucks will no longer charge extra for non-dairy substitutes as of Thursday 7 November, coinciding with the coffee chain’s holiday launch. The group believes that this change will make it easier for its customers to make their Starbucks beverage their own. Substituting is the second most requested customisation from Starbucks customers.

Consumer interest in healthier takeaway food has risen in 2024, Deliveroo has found, as salads now make up 30% of the top 10 global delivery dishes – up from just 10% last year – beating burgers out of the top 10 for the first time. London vendors Atis and The Salad Project have two of the top three most popular dishes in the UK this year. 

The Plough has been brought to market for £295k. The pub and restaurant in the village of Binbrook, Lincolnshire, offers a large trading area including a main bar and two “snug” areas which can accommodate over 60 covers in total, as well as a sizable outdoor area with potential further seating for 50 people.
