JKS Restaurants has reported a turnover of £73m for the 65-week period to 31 March 2024. The operator of multiple F&B concepts, which is best known for Gymkhana, has also seen its losses before tax widen to £5.5m during the period from £925,790 in 2023. This is despite having almost doubled its sales to £50m.
Hydes has committed to a £235k refurb of The Abel Heywood, based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The investment follows a multi-million, seven-figure investment programme across its pub estate in 2024, which included a £200k refurbishment of the pub in February 2024.
The Dark Horse pub has officially opened in Camden in the former Camden Stable block by the same team behind Le Bab and music venue, Tape London. The walls are covered with a curated collection of original music art and photography with reference to the London and Camden music scene of the past.
A new dining concept, Willow, will open in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, in February. The launch marks Parogon Group’s expansion plans following the launch of the Mediterranean-inspired concept’s second site in Telford last year. Founded in 2007, the group has multiple venues across Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire.
