TGI Fridays has been acquired by D&D London owners Breal Capital and Calveton UK for an undisclosed sum. The sale, which is based on 51 restaurants, should secure the future of some 2,000 jobs across those sites. Breal Capital and Calveton are also hopeful that they may be able to secure further locations following discussions with the landlords.

Epiris has acquired Amber Taverns for an undisclosed amount. The pub operator, which was founded in 2005 by CEO James Baer, has an estate of 178 freehold, wet-led pubs, predominantly in the North of England, the Midlands, Scotland and Wales. The group is “uniquely focused” on the hybrid operator-managed business model.

The new design of the Mildreds townhouse has created more space as well as a second floor 18-seater private dining area and event space.

Admiral Taverns has reopened The Travellers Rest in Stoke-on-Trent following a £196k refurb. Inside, the pub has received a full refurbishment including updates to both the bar and lounge area complete with a new dartboard and four televisions. Outside, the pub hosts a  garden complete with a brand new, 65-inch television equipped with Sky Sports.
