Chopstix has appointed Savills as its advisor to expand its existing portfolio, following a strategic investment in the brand from QSRP in October 2024. The chain plans to focus on high-traffic, prominent, and thriving areas, including high streets, shopping centres and travel hubs – all of which benefit from “substantial” consumer spending.
Compass Group has seen its revenues rise by 9.2% in the first quarter ended 31 December 2024, as all of the global caterer’s regions and sectors performed well. It comes as Compass spent around $1bn (£800m) on M&A for the year to date. As a result, the group’s 2025 guidance remains unchanged as it expects to deliver high single-digit operating profit growth.
AngloThai has been awarded one Michelin Star, just three months after the debut restaurant from couple John and Desiree Chantarasak opened its doors on 11 November 2024 in London’s Marylebone. AngloThai has a 44 cover ground-floor dining room with an open kitchen, and a private dining room called Baan on the lower ground floor.
Azotea, has unveiled its menu ahead of its planned opening in Leeds this March. The new rooftop restaurant and bar will feature flavours stretching from the Caribbean coast to the streets of Mexico. Described as an “urban rooftop oasis”, the venue will also offer a brunch menu and signature cocktail list which incorporates tequilas, mezcals, and rums.
