D&D London revealed that its CEO and co-founder will be stepping down from his role after 30 years on 31 December 2024. David Loewi will serve as advisor to the board with a particular emphasis on international expansion, while a new CEO is appointed. Today, D&D London owns and operates more than 40 restaurants and an award-winning hotel.
BBPA has warned that pubs may have to push up prices and cut jobs following the budget announcement. The British Beer and Pub Association’s figures show that the budget’s rise in National Insurance contributions means, at a conservative estimate, a £500m increase to the cost of doing business for the industry.
UKH has called for the Scottish govt to bring in at least 40% business rates relief for the sector, as new analysis from the trade body reveals that Scottish hospitality businesses will be significantly worse off than their English counterparts. According to UKH findings, a local pub would pay almost £6k more, a town centre restaurant would pay almost £10k and a hotel would pay £26k more.
