Stonegate Group has reported that LFL sales rose 9.7% over the festive season, with the group’s Craft Union business seeing record sales numbers over the Christmas week. Across the group’s managed estate, some 234 sites reported record-breaking sales weeks – with 217 locations reporting record-breaking sales days.
KFC UK&I has named Rob Swain its new general manager, effective 1 March 2025. Swain will be replacing Meg Farren, who is being promoted to president of North America for Yum! Brands’ sister brand Taco Bell. He joins as general manager from KFC Global, where he has served as chief operating officer since 2022.
Payne and Gunter will cater for Garsington Opera on the Getty’s Wormsley estate. The new collaboration with Levy’s event catering arm is set to bring “innovative” culinary experiences to the internationally-renowned opera festival commencing in 2025. Payne and Gunter will curate menus ranging from fine dining and picnic hampers to afternoon tea and canapés.
The Priory Caerleon in South Wales has unveiled a new look for its 100-cover restaurant, following a transformative refurbishment. With a history dating back to 1180, The Priory has established itself as a destination restaurant and hotel in the region. The restaurant also has plans for a dedicated cheese and wine tasting room later this year.
