Pan-Asian restaurant SanHao to open in London’s Chinatown
The restaurant is the latest addition to Chinatown London from the restaurateurs behind Hong Kong style café, The Eight, and Pan-Asian concept, YiQi
SanHao, a restaurant focused on hand-pulled noodles and soups, will be debuting within Chinatown London’s food landscape in 3 Gerrard Street.
Set to open its doors later this year, SanHao is the latest addition to Chinatown London from the restaurateurs behind Hong Kong style café, The Eight, and Pan-Asian concept, YiQi.
The menu will focus on traditional hand-pulled noodle dishes, from Ban Mian to soups from across China and Southeast Asia, as well as cooked to order, pan-fried buns. Highlights will include Crab Noodles, Black Truffle Wild Mushroom Noodle Soup, and Cappuccino Free Range Chicken Noodle Soup.
Occupying a 3,000 sq ft space, on the corner of Chinatown London’s Gerrard Street and Gerrard Place, SanHao will join the diverse range of ESEA-inspired restaurants across the destination.
The restaurant’s interior has been inspired by the contemporary style of Jiangnan in Eastern China, a design palette of black, white, and grey.
Keng Yew Leong, founder of SanHao, said: “SanHao’s debut in Chinatown London marks another successful collaboration with Shaftesbury Capital and we are delighted to bring an authentic experience to what is the leading ESEA cultural hub in the UK.
“The success of The Eight and YiQi fills us with great confidence in how our SanHao concept will be received by visitors and we look forward to opening our doors to the Chinatown London community later this year.”
