Chef Rob Roy Cameron and Tony Conigliaro to open new restaurant Gazelle

Drinks specialist Tony Conigliaro and international chef Rob Roy Cameron are set to open their new restaurant Gazelle at the Edwardian building in the heart of Mayfair.

The restaurant, which can sit 48 guests on its first floor, is located at 48 Albemarle Street in Mayfair and will be officially open for business on Monday 9 July.

Gazelle’s menu has been carefully created by Conigliaro and Cameron, focusing on modern European cuisine with an aim to close the gap between bar and restaurant offerings.

Cameron said: “The food at Gazelle will be a change from the current offering in Mayfair. We’ve broken away from the 2/3 course or tasting menu format and just left it open for everyone to choose themselves. We want to create a space where guests can enjoy a unique dining and drinking experience with a kitchen that is not limited by genre.”

Similarly, Conigliaro expressed his wish to offer something different than what Mayfair already offers.

He added: “When we were given the opportunity to take over both floors, I really wanted to install the lift and give out guests that feeling of a private members club away from street level, without it actually being one. Am so happy we managed to fit one in!”

Gazelle will be open from Monday to Saturday for lunch from 12-2.30pm, and for dinner from 6-10pm. Both cocktails and plates will be served throughout the afternoon.
