Coaching Inn Group founder and CEO to retire in March
The Coaching Inn Group, which was founded by Charity in 1996, was acquired by RedCat in August 2021
RedCat Pub Company has revealed that founder and CEO of the Coaching Inn Group, Keving Charity, will be stepping down from his role at the end of March to retire after 28 years.
As a result, RedCat has announced that Richard Lewis will step up to the role of CEO of the company, which comprises RedCat managed pubs, leased and tenanted pubs, as well as the Coaching Inn Group.
The Coaching Inn Group, which was founded by Charity in 1996, was acquired by RedCat in August 2021. Since the acquisition, the historic coaching inns and pub hotels operator has nearly doubled in scale, growing from 18 to 35 sites.
Lewis first joined the business in October 2023, having previously had a “successful and extensive” career in pubs and retail. In 2011, he joined Greene King as the managing director of local pubs and went on to become chief operating officer.

Charity added: “It’s hard to believe 28 years have passed since founding the Coaching Inn Group, as I step down as CEO.
