Paul Cooney announced as head chef at Oddfellows On The Park

Cooney will head up the entire chef operation from events and occasions, to taking the helm at The Galloping Major restaurant

Oddfellows Hotels has announced the appointment of Paul Cooney as its head chef at boutique hotel, Oddfellows On The Park.

Cooney joins the team at the park side boutique hotel from The Townhouse in Manchester, where he held the reins for over three years. Cooney has worked and trained across Manchester, with experience across Holiday Inn and Village Hotels groups, before becoming executive chef at Blue Pig’s Odd Group.

Cooney will head up the entire chef operation from events and occasions, to taking the helm at The Galloping Major restaurant.

Cooney said: “Oddfellows On The Park is an exciting move for me. I’m working within an independent hotel where I have the opportunity to put my mark on the menus and create some amazing dishes.

“I’m a big believer in accessible food, so you can expect to see familiar dishes on the menu- but with an extra flair to make them more interesting.”

Helio Correia, general manager of Oddfellows On The Park, added: “Paul is a passionate chef with a brilliant track record within the Manchester hotel and restaurant scene. We are delighted to welcome him to our Oddfellows family. I have worked with Paul for a few years and during that time I was tremendously impressed with his skill and creativity.”
