Team behind Shoreditch’s The Clove Club to open new restaurant
The team behind Shoreditch’s Michelin star-winning The Clove Club are set to open a new restaurant in the area.
Two Lights will open at the site of Italian restaurant Amici Mei on Kingsland Road in September, headed up by The Clove Club’s current head chef Chase Lovecky.
Following the opening of pasta restaurant Luca, Two Lights will become the group’s third restaurant, named after the state park in Lovecky’s home of Marine and is the first solo project for the American chef.
Lovecky describes the restaurant as “a small restaurant serving creative and delicious food inspired by modern American cuisine”, with the menu including dishes such as Hereford beef tartare and togarashi and grilled mackerel, cherries, and black olives.
The American chef has been head chef at The Clove Club for three years, joining after Tim Spedding left to join Coombeshead Farm in Cornwall.
